Raw Chocolate Banana Walnut Cake

Ingredients: Cake

  • 3/4 cup walnuts, 1/2 cup almonds and 1/2 cup sunflower seeds
  • 1/4 cup jumbo raisins
  • 1  to 1.5 big overripe sweet banana
  • 3 tablespoon organic raw cacao powder (alternative: organic raw drinking chocolate for a sweeter version)
  • 2 tablespoon melted organic raw cacao butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon organic cinnamon powder
  • pinch of sea salt

Ingredients: Toppings

  • 5 dates, soaked, pitted and crushed to small pieces (use knife or process in food processor)
  • 1 tablespoon of organic cold-processed coconut oil
  • 2 tablespoon organic raw cacao sweet nibs
  • 1 teaspoon organic raw cacao powder for dusting


  1. Process all cake ingredients in a food processor for a about 10 seconds or until a soft dough texture is achieved.  Leave pieces of the nuts in it for added crunch and texture
  2. Place mixture into a spring form pan and press with hands to form into a cake
  3. Spread the pieces of date on top of the cake. Spread the coconut oil on top
  4. Place in refrigerator for about 30 minutes to set
  5. Remove the spring form pan.  Press the organic raw cacao sweet nibs on the side of the cake and dust the top of the cake with organic raw cacao powder.
